Seattle volunteers Deb Shiell, Dave Preston, and Bill Hucks organized Riders for Health’s first ever Dual Sport Scavenger Hunt last month.
Riders for Health supporters and dual sport motorcycle enthusiasts in the Seattle area discovered a great way to have fun while raising important funds for Riders for Health. On August 8-10, Cove RV Park in Brinnon, Washington hosted the first annual Riders for Health Dual Sport Scavenger Hunt. About twenty-five participants spent the weekend sleuthing over clues, exploring picturesque roads and trails around the park, and camping in the company of friends and fellow riders.
The event drew support from many corners of the Seattle motorcycling community. Riders for Health would like to thank RideWest BMW for promotional and vehicle support, Cycle Barn of Lynnwood for donating prizes, and SoundRider.com and AltRider.com for promoting the event. Riders would also like to thank volunteers Jill Oliver, Que Mathis, and Tracy Jeffries for helping to make the weekend a success.
Volunteers raised $550 for Riders for Health through event registration and collecting donations. Plans are under way for next year’s event, with all this year’s participants excited to return. The 2013 Riders for Health Dual Sport Scavenger Hunt already promises to be bigger and better!
